Exclusive to Midwinter Yarns!
Continuing in our desire to use local materials for our handmade project bags, I am especially excited to introduce the Kilted Ochils bag. For this, we have teamed up with a Glasgow kiltmaker to make use of the offcuts from their traditional Scottish kilt making, making sure that none of this fantastic material goes to waste!
The fabrics used for these bags are all 100% wool tartan fabrics made in Scotland, the exact same as go into the hardwearing kilts. The off-cut strips are sewn together as a patchwork here at Midwinter HQ, and there will only be a couple of bags exactly the same of any one layout.
The numbered pictures show the two sides of the exact bag you are purchasing. Please note that we recycle numbers as new variations come into stock, so "option 1" this week may not be the same as last week's "option 1" etc. The other pictures are of similar style bags to show you the closure and interior.
All Kilted Ochils are lined with our trademark warm orange cotton canvas.
The Ochils Bag itself is a roomy and sturdy project bag, and features a triple internal pocket with space for notebooks and a pen.
The inside view of the bag is shown easily containing 500gr of yarn to give you an idea of capacity.
The bag closes with a roll-down construction, so it can roll down to however small the contents allow and grow along with your project. The metal clasp then forms a handy strap to carry the bag with, or hang off your arm if working on the go.
