We are very proud of this little yarn of ours and delighted to be able to bring it back with the help of the most amazing fund raising support.
Black & Blue Welsh Wool is spun from a single flock of sheep in North Wales. Mr Owen has carefully chosen a blend of his prize-winning white and black Bluefaced Leicesters for us, and it has been expertly spun by a mill in West Wales. It is then hand dyed by ourselves here in Scotland.
The result is a wonderfully soft and bouncy yarn in a gentle grey shade with plenty of life and depth. It has the lustre and softness typical of Bluefaced Leicester wool, but without quite losing its woolly character.
The 2020 batch is a little different from previous years as it is now of a 3-plied construction rather than just 2, making it a rounder and more durable yarn.

100% Welsh Wool
Terry is a simple, slightly variegated, bubblegum pink, softened by the grey base colour. It shifts from a barely-there wash to flashes of more intense colour throughout.
Please note that depending on available dye lots, we may need to dye a fresh batch to accommodate multiple hanks in the same order, so you may need to allow up to a week for dispatch.
